Over the years, AG Bell has helped college students like Daniel in many ways, including learning how to communicate with roommates, asking professors to use microphones, and seeking accommodations that enabled them to succeed. They are not only academically prepared but have all surmounted the unique obstacles that only a deaf student faces.

Daniel’s love for MIT and learning shows in the tasks he takes on in addition to a highly challenging academic load. He speaks to incoming freshmen about MIT services for students with disabilities. He also served as the managing editor of MIT’s yearbook, where he honed not only his leadership skills but also his ability to communicate with others. Daniel has led the MIT student Instagram account, hosted a podcast, provided MIT community tech support, and helped others as a fraternity brother.
